Audio Story Components

Background Music:

I chose this as my background music because it goes with the theme of America and the topic I have chosen to further discuss.

Audio with noise background:

As you can hear it this audio, there is some background noise and papers moving. My goal after editing this audio was to eliminate the background noise the best I could. There is also a humming in the background that I had to eliminate.

Audio without noise:

As seen here, my audio sounds better without these background noises. I believe that there are other spots in this podcast that I can improve on. This is a good start in eliminating background noises for the best interview possible. There are more spots that I can improve on but this is significant progress in fixing the audio.

With effects:

My introduction was montoned and simple before adding effects. I knew that I could add something that would fit in with the audio and topic of the story. Very similar to a topic that would be heard on AM radio, I decided to add this effect to make it sound like I have a show on the radio. It is a professional tone and adds the leadership aspect to the introduction.

Without effects:

This is my introduction without effects and it is very monotone and bland. It needed an effect that would fit the style and topic of the podcast. There isn't much happening in this audio as it is plain and simple.

Foley audio:

I chose to use my phone hitting against the table for my foley audio to add the effect of a gavel in a courtroom. This is what I chose because it is similar to a gavel that would be used in the Supreme Court. It symbolizes the division and the inability to be civil despite our economic success.
